he Akshay Kumar – Huma Qureshi starrer Jolly LLB 2 that released two weeks ago has been doing brisk business at the domestic and overseas box office. Directed by Shubash Kapoor the film which is a sequel to the 2013 Arshad Warsi – Boman Irani release Jolly LLB was well received by the critics and audience alike.

In this box office report we take a look at the overall worldwide gross collections of Jolly LLB 2 while comparing the same to the previous releases of 2017. Not surprisingly, Jolly LLB 2 manages to claim the second slot in the list with collections pegged at Rs. 185 cr. Though the film is still pretty far from rivalling the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees that released in January which collected Rs. 281.33 cr, it does manage to surpass the Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil that released alongside Raees and collected Rs. 177.46 cr. Similarly, the first big ticket release of 2017, Ok Jaanu that featured Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur seems to have literally fallen out of the race with worldwide gross collections pegged at just Rs. 39.19 cr.

However, considering the fact that Jolly LLB 2 still continues to find favour among the audience, all that is left to be seen is whether the film’s collections manages to close the gap between Raees.
