Rohit Shetty is known to not mince his words. While previously his film Golmaal Again was supposed to clash with Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0, the producers decided to postpone the futuristic film to January 2018.
But what happened was Aamir Khan took up the Diwali spot for his small budget The Secret Superstar.
One clash averted, on to another one. Rohit says, “I don’t understand why people discuss this so much and give it so much importance. Clashes have just become a talking point today, nothing else. If two films release on the same day and are good films, they will do really well. After all, there are only 52 weeks so clashes aren’t abnormal or strange.”
He asks people to look at it more sensibly. “There was a time when a filmmaker had two of his own films releasing on the same day. Look at some of David Dhawan and Priyadarshan films, they have released two films of theirs on the same Friday. And we are talking about this now!”
